Reston Limousine party buses were the vehicles of choice for DC Metromix and DC Lottery’s recent Gold Ticket Treasure Hunt, where contestants completed tasks at three DC bars to win a grand prize of $1,000.

In celebration of one of DC’s annual springtime traditions, Reston Limousine offered lunchtime excursions to enjoy the colorful scene of cherry trees in bloom along the tidal basin.

The Washington Nationals take on the Atlanta Braves on March 31 in their first home game of the season.

According to the festival website:

Each year, the National Cherry Blossom Festival commemorates the 1912 gift of 3,000 cherry trees from Mayor Yukio Ozaki of Tokyo to the city of Washington, DC. The gift and annual celebration honor the lasting friendship between the United States and Japan and the continued close relationship between the two countries. … Today, more than a million people visit Washington, DC each year to admire the blossoming cherry trees and attend events that herald the beginning of spring in the nation’s capital. … The Festival was expanded to two weeks in 1994 to accommodate a diverse activity schedule during the blooming period.

This year, the predicted peak blooming period of the cherry blossoms is March 29-April 3, and Reston Limousine is offering special lunchtime excursions from March 31-April 5.

The yearning to connect and the impulse toward flight — those contradictory verities of romantic entanglement — take sharp visceral form in Ms. Tharp’s fast, flashing, remarkably intricate dances.

You’ll leave at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 31 from McLean and arrive about 3 p.m. at your hotel, the Holiday Inn Midtown.  Just three blocks from Central Park and Carnegie Hall, the Holiday Inn Midtown also puts you within shopping distance of fabulous shopping at Tiffany’s, Niketown, Fifth Avenue, and 57th Street boutiques.

You’ll catch the show at 8 p.m. at the Marquis Theater, then have a full day on Sunday, Aug. 1, to go sightseeing on your own. Departure is at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, with arrival in McLean scheduled for about 10:30 p.m.
