Included in the article is Arlington’s own “car-free diet” which “urges residents to live “car-free” or “car-lite” – giving up their vehicles to ride Arlington Transit or the Washington, D.C., bus and subway system, bike or walk. Residents can use an online calculator to determine how many calories they’ll burn and how much money they’ll save by not having to gas up the car.”
