Hiring Success during Industry-wide Driver Shortage
The 2017 and 2018 years were particularly hard on the transportation industry as they suffered a severe shortage of driver applicants. Reston Limousine CEO, Kristina Bouweiri, however, used a creative multi-pronged approach to their hiring drive that saw the company reach and exceed their goal of drivers hired amidst the severe hiring drought.
Reston Limousine has hired over 120 new drivers since beginning its hiring drive in January 2018.
“Running a transportation business continues to be challenging in this economy due to the nationwide shortage of commercial drivers.” Reston Limousine President and CEO, Kristina Bouweiri, said. “I am so pleased that my team has collectively come up with new and creative ideas for recruiting and retaining drivers; quality drivers remain our company’s number one asset.”
