DULLES, VA, Nov. 14, 2015 – CEO Kristina Bouweiri was celebrated as Entrepreneur and Professional Network’s Legacy Female Entrepreneur at their 10th Annual EPNET Legacy Awards Ball, which took place at the Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel.
EPNET, founded by Theresa Royal Brown and her husband Charles Brown, honors businessmen and women who are a “a living legacy for other entrepreneurs, and the community as a whole,” according to the website. In her acceptance speech, Kristina thanked EPNET for the recognition, noting that all the other honorees “inspired me so much and I’m going to go home more inspired from meeting you here tonight.”
She also shared her appreciation for her five children and parents — “My mom passed recently so she’s watching from above but I know I’m making them very proud” — as well as her employees. “I’ve been through many ups and downs and they were always there for me. You cannot grow a business if you don’t have a (solid) team and I’ve surrounded myself with people that are smarter than me.” Click here to view her entire speech on our YouTube channel.
