In 2008, Reston Limousine CEO Kristina Bouweiri launched a new concept in women’s networking: a monthly luncheon that required no membership fee and brought together some of our favorite things: shopping with local vendors, intimate lunchtime networking with supportive colleagues, and an inspirational female speaker. That concept grew in popularity over the years and today, the event regularly draws more than 100 attendees each month to the National Conference Center.
Earlier this year, Kristina realized her dream of expanding her concept with the first Sterling Women Winchester luncheon in April with Dr. Tracy Fitzsimmons, president of Shenandoah University, as the featured speaker! At the help of the Winchester chapter is Janice Copeland, a seasoned businesswoman with 15 years in the telecom industry and currently a top Winchester realtor with The Jan & Dan Team at ERA Oakcrest.
Now, coming in November, Sterling Women expands east and south to Washington DC and Manassas!
On Nov. 5, Director Carolyn Howell will welcome Barbara Lang, former DC Chamber of Commerce president, as the inaugural speaker of Sterling Women of Washington, DC! The event will take place from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Clyde’s of Gallery Place, 707 7th Street NW, Washington, DC 20001.
Then, on Nov. 12, Director Shateea Holmes will introduce Dr. Grace Keenan, founder or Nova Medical & Urgent Care Center, as the first speaker of Sterling Women of Manassas! The event will take place from 11:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Foxchase Manor, 8310 Chatsworth Dr., Manassas, VA 20109.
Female entrepreneurs and business professionals throughout the Washington DC region can now enjoy the same exciting networking opportunities that have been offered in Loudoun for the past six years!
