ELI team at the Lets Help Kids! annual gala
Community service runs in our corporate veins, from our CEO Kristina Bouweiri down to our staff members. A prime example is Office and Marketing Manager Alyssa Travers, who recently graduated from Leadership Fairfax’s Emerging Leaders Institute.
Alyssa joined about 40 other motivated young professionals from the private, public and nonprofit sectors in the 10-month leadership program. An initiative of Leadership Fairfax, ELI trains these rising young professionals in strategic planning, conflict resolution and negotiation, presentation skills and community leadership.
ELI's Let's Help Kids! crew
Alyssa’s group worked with Let’s Help Kids, an organization founded by Rachel Harris, a young girl who wanted to help other kids in need. Her team included Spencer Teel of TEEL Construction; Charles Thomas of LMI; Ashleigh Soloff of Reston Association; Leigh Greene of FGM; Mike Beasley of Inova Health Systems; and Dan Shaer of Booz Allen Hamilton.
The leadership institute is seeking candidates for the Class of 2013, which meets monthly from September to June 2013. For more information, visit www.leadershipfairfax.org.
