Celebrate springtime in the Big Apple with our April day trips to New York City!
Girl Scouts will have the opportunity to earn a special New York patch by visiting three New York City sites of your choice (click here for a map of nearby potential sites, such as Grand Central Train Station, Rockefeller Center and Times Square). Feel free to bring a bag lunch and snacks to eat on the bus.
Not a Girl Scout? No problem, join us anyway and enjoy New York City!
Hurry! Seats are limited for this exciting trip! The deadline to register for the American Girl Doll Dinner will be March 23rd. This is due to space reservation requirements by American Girl. After that date we cannot promise a seat at the dinner.
Girl Scout troop leaders: You will need to provide enough adults to meet the appropriate adult-girl ratio for this trip, as well as a first-aider. For any questions, please click here to email our marketing department. Reston Limousine is an approved GSCNC vendor. For information on travel, please review Chapter 8:Field Trips and Travel of Volunteer Essentials. A Troop Overnight and Travel Form should be submitted to your SU Manager at least 2 weeks prior to the trip.
Itinerary:
Depart: 7:00 AM, Vienna Metro Station, North Side – Virginia Center Blvd @ Nutley St (Kiss & Ride bus stop)
Stop: Delaware House rest area
Arrive: 12:00 PM, Times Square
Dinner: 5:30 PM, American Girl Place Cafe (must be at American Girl Cafe at least 15 minutes in advance, dinner seating is prompt!)
Depart: 6:30 PM, American Girl Place
Stop: Delaware House
Return: 11:00 PM, Vienna Metro
