Dulles, Virginia. July 10, 2012. Reston Limousine’s President and CEO, Kristina Bouweiri, has expanded the presence of her Washington, DC/Northern Virginia-based transportation company with international visibility. Not only has the award-winning Reston Limousine added the capacity to provide travel arrangements abroad for its clientele, but Bouweiri now includes international speaker status on her own list of stellar business accomplishments.
Speaking on growing business opportunities in a downturn market to the Enterprising Women Conference three years ago, Bouweiri, herself an Enterprising Woman of the Year, met Irene Natividad, President of the Global Summit of Women. This non-profit links women business professionals, entrepreneurs, and corporate leaders worldwide to build and strengthen relationships.
Natividad, an Asian American leader, asked Bouweiri to speak on Social Media at the Summit’s conference in China the next year. The following year, Bouweiri accepted the invitation to speak in Turkey for the Summit. Most recently, she moderated a panel discussion in Greece on making your business more Green. Next year, Bouweiri plans continued involvement with the Global Summit event in Malaysia.
“Participation in the Summit has proven a highly rewarding and exciting opportunity for me,†said Bouweiri, who added that the conference presents the link for her to work with a vast array of professional business women from diverse backgrounds and nationalities.
The daughter of Foreign Service parents, Bouweiri grew up internationally prior to making Northern Virginia her home. Her global background proved valuable early on in marketing Reston Limousine to Embassy clients. Founded in 1990, Reston Limousine constantly strives toward the improvement of its service quality, and is frequently recognized for its innovative ways to grow its customer base and portfolio of services. The company’s revenues have increased ($18m), more than doubling since 2003, and for the fourth consecutive year Reston Limousine was named to Inc. Magazine’s 500/5000 ranking for revenue growth.
In addition to expanding her company, Bouweiri has invested much effort in supporting area entrepreneurs through the formation of Sterling Women, a networking group for women in business, and the Virginia Women’s Business Conference for professionals. Bouweiri is in frequent demand as a speaker within her industry, as well as at business and economic conferences.
