Hidden Brook Winery

Since 2002, Eric and Deborah Hauck, owners of Hidden Brook Winery (just north of Historic Leesburg), have created a peaceful wine tasting setting fit for all four seasons. In the wintertime, guests are invited to relax next to the fireplace in the Hauck’s American-style log cabin tasting room.  During the warmer months, visitors can sip their varietals on the cabin’s deck, which overlooks the surrounding vineyard and mountains.

The Hauck’s winemaking philosophy reflects their versatile tasting room. They say the best part of their job is experimenting with new wines. Eric and Deborah’s favorites are Vidal Blanc and Chambourcin, both French-American hybrid grapes. Chambourcin is most often used for blending, but the Haucks have used their own approach to create unique standalone wines.

Along with wine, Hidden Brook offers an array of cheeses, crackers and sausages to accompany tastings. Art and music lovers will also find themselves at home, as the tasting room houses a gallery featuring local artists and hosts live music every weekend.

About the Winemaker

Eric and Deborah Hauck built their American-style log cabin tasting room with the help of family and friends. Although they spent a long time searching for the perfect property, the Haucks finally ended up next-door to Lost Creek Vineyards and Winery. Lost Creek was previously owned by Eric’s parents, Bob and Carol Hauck, who made Virginia wine for almost 20 years.

At Hidden Brook Winery, the Haucks share this multi-generational love of wine with each and every guest.
