National Air and Space Museum Tours

Craig Steinberg, licensed DC Tour Guide and docent at the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum on the Mall, offers tours of the museums two locations:

Downtown Mall: ‘From Kitty Hawk to the Moon in about 2 Hours’

Craig will introduce you to the Wright Brothers, Charles Lindbergh, Chuck Yeager, Amelia Earhart, John Glenn, and Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins, true Pioneers in the history of Aviation and Space flight.

Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center

Craig will take you through some of the “bigger” Air and Space artifacts in the Smithsonian’s collection – both in terms of their historical significance (and because they are too big for the Mall location). Included on Craig’s personal Udvar-Hazy Tours are the SR-71, Enola Gay, Concorde, and Space Shuttle Discovery – the queen of the Shuttle fleet, having flown 39 times in space for a total of 365 days.

Each tour is $100; cost of transportation is separate.
