About the Winery

Willowcroft Farm Vineyards is a local gem when it comes to winemaking in Loudoun County, Virginia.  Famous for its award-winning wines since 1984, visitors travel from near and far to taste Willowcroft grapes in a rustic setting.

Lew Parker, owner and winemaker at Willowcroft Farm Vineyards, has been turning grapes into award-winning wines for more than 25 years. He planted the very first vines in 1981 and officially founded the winery at Willowcroft Farm in 1983. Since the 1990’s, Lew has been instructing others in the art of winemaking. He has been a fixture in the local community as well as the national wine industry, earning the “Gordon Murchie Lifetime Achievement” award in 2013. In 2002, Lew was named “Virginia Wine Industry Person of the Year”, a title which served as a pivotal point for the growth of his wine business and the continued success of Willowcroft Farm.

Visitors are welcomed warmly and treated to a tour of the winemaking process in the historic red barn that was constructed before the Civil War. Snacks are available for purchase to pair with the wines, and a picnic area is available for those who wish to bring their own food and enjoy the view.

To date, the winery has won numerous medals in national and international competitions, including Virginia’s Jefferson Cup, Best of Fair in the Virginia State Fair competition, double Golds with International Eastern, and several California competitions.

Not much was known about growing wine in Virginia when Parker first began his journey, but today, Willowcroft boasts some of the most popular wines in the region. Sample some of the favorites by booking a winery tour through Reston Limousine or following the turn-by-turn directions on the vineyard’s website.
