Arlington National Cemetery
Arlington National Cemetery, the nation’s premier military cemetery and shrine honoring men and women who served in the Armed Forces, conducts between 27 and 30 services each weekday and between six and eight services on Saturday. The cemetery is closed for services on Sundays.
Services take place weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m, with the exception of federal holidays. On Saturday, services occur 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for placements and services for cremated remains that do not require military honors or military chaplain support. Services are not scheduled on Saturdays before a federal holiday on Monday.
Family members and others attending the service should arrive about 45 minutes before the scheduled service time. Families will not be allowed into the cemetery earlier than one hour before the scheduled service.
